World Cultural Council Award 2014

Aalto University and the World Cultural Council held the 2014 Award Ceremony festivities and Aalto University Academic Summit on “The Impact of Universities on Economic Growth” at Espoo Otaniemi Campus on 16–20 November 2014.

The Albert Einstein World Award of Science and the José Vasconcelos World Award of Education were conferred on eminent pioneers in their respective fields in honour of their tireless efforts to advance human culture and well-being. 

During the ceremony special recognitions were granted to six talented researchers who early in their careers have had international impact through their academic work.

The 31st World Cultural Council Award Ceremony was followed by the Aalto University Academic Summit: “The Impact of Universities on Economic Growth”. The summit focused on how universities contribute in creating knowledge societies thereby facilitating economic development, job creation and well-being. The symposium featured leading scientists and experts from all over the world.
